“ I'm going to keep this review short and sweet because I want to make one thing very clear. PLEASE get the angel food cake from here! Oh my gosh it's like no other. Normally angel food cake from Kroger is a light and fluffy simple cake. Gus decided to make it a little more special with frosting and candied sliced almonds! I don't crave any other cake except this one. ”

The round cake is covered in smooth vanilla icing and can be almond flavored (which I highly recommend) and trimmed and toasted almonds. They have fantastic cookies, donuts, and pastries made fresh daily. If you have a special occasion (or just want to treat yo' self) call and order the filled cake. If you are indecisive like me when it comes to flavors, get the cake split! Best of both worlds... chocolate with peanut butter filing or white with raspberry filling! My favorite is the slice right down the center when you get a little piece of each. You won't be disappointed if you stop in and see " Gus's Goodies Decorated Cakes....Yummy"! (The commercial jingle will get stuck in your head too:) ) ”
